Due to the different production methods of acrylic yarn manufacturers, acrylic yarn can be divided into many categories. First, let's understand the production mode of acrylic yarn. The raw material of acrylic yarn is cheap propylene, a by-product of petroleum cracking: since polyacrylonitrile copolymer only decomposes without melting when heated to above 230C, it cannot be melt spun like polyester and nylon fibers, but solution spinning is adopted. Spinning can be either dry or wet. Dry spinning speed is high, suitable for spinning silk like fabric. It is very suitable for making short fibers, fluffy and soft, and suitable for making wool like fabrics.

There are many kinds of acrylic yarn fabrics, including acrylic pure textiles, and acrylic blended and interwoven fabrics. The main varieties are as follows:

1、Acrylic yarn fabric is made of 100% acrylic fiber. For example, worsted acrylic women's cloth processed with 100% wool acrylic fiber has loose structure characteristics, bright color, soft and elastic feel, and texture is not loose or rotten, which is suitable for making medium and low-grade women's clothing. By using 100% expanded acrylic yarn as raw material, plain or twill textured expanded acrylic overcoat can be made, which has the characteristics of full hand, warm and easy wool fabric, and is suitable for making overcoats and casual clothes in spring, autumn and winter.

2、Acrylic fiber blended fabric refers to the fabric blended with wool or medium length acrylic fiber and viscose or polyester fiber. Including nitrile/viscose gabardine, nitrile/viscose women's cloth, nitrile/polyester tweed, etc. Nitrile/viscose gabardine, also known as oriental tweed, is blended with 50% nitrile and 50% viscose respectively, which is thick, compact, durable, smooth and soft.
